CAN YOU WORSHIP GOD, BUT NOT JESUS?
Not if you want to get to heaven.
The moment Jesus died on the cross for His Father’s will and sovereignty, God exalted His Name above all other names and transferred His own power and judgeship to Jesus (John 5:2; Acts 10:42; Philippians 2:9). God has always wanted to establish a future world which will revere Him and respect all others, and He plans to do it by putting His Son on the throne of a peaceful world, and having Him rule it from Jerusalem for one thousand years.
When we die and stand before the pearly gates, God will ask each of us what we did with His Son. Did we try to obey what Jesus taught and demonstrated? Did we try to be more like Him? Did we accept Him as our Lord and Savior? Did we ask Him to lead our lives? Did we ask Him to forgive our sins? If so, the gates will open. Jesus is the key to our salvation. He is the way, the truth, and the life. No one will get to heaven without believing in His full mission (John 14:6).
Why can’t we just ask God the Father to forgive our sins? Because He was not the One who died for our sins. Jesus was the One who volunteered to leave heaven and come to Earth as a lowly human infant to die on the cross for our sins. He was the only One who could save us from the wrath of His Father because He was the only human EVER who had no sins. Why did Jesus die for us? Because His Father loved us . . . and, so did He. Therefore, we love Jesus because He loved us first, and we thank Him for what He provided by trying to be more like Him.
Nobody can see the face of God the Father and live, but the children of God will ALL see the face of Jesus one day soon. He is the one who will descend from heaven and say: “Well done, good and faithful servant . . . Come and share your master’s happiness” (Matthew 25:23).
The more demonically insane this world becomes, the closer we are to hearing those blessed words. So, keep your faith and keep your patience with evil schemes a little while longer because nothing we suffer through today will compare to the glories that will be revealed to us in heaven (Romans 8:18).
